Goal Setup

With Trackaswim, you are able to set multiple goals not just 1! We allow you to set a goal against each stroke and distance. We understand that different strokes and distances will mean different training, dedication and stamina so 1 goal would not cover all.

From the main menu or the profile page, click on the ‘Goals’ button. You will then see tabs across the top for each stroke and then distances for each goal below on the selected tab.

On the screen that pops up, you will need to enter 3 bits of information to start your goal creation.

  1. Goal Name
  2. Goal Description
  3. Goal Time

Your goal time is the most important aspect of your goal setup. This goal needs to be achievable. Ideally, you should be looking for small goal wins and then setup a new goal once you have achieved it. The screen will show you your current PB if you have 1 against this stroke and distance. For a 50m race, setting a goal to reduce by 3 seconds doesnt seem much but this is a huge target. Be realistic, usually a half second improvement is a great aim. This is achievable and the satisfaction of achieving this will be greater than keep looking at a target you can not achieve, even if you would like to. Be realistic on the times.

Setting you goals is a great way to drive for improvement. We have also added 5 steps you can put in to help you improve and maintain your focus. These 5 steps have no functionality apart from reminding you and helping to drive you forward. You may choose, for freestyle goal a step of ‘Ensure my heads remains still’ or ‘Practice my turns 10 times each session’. These steps should be there to help you gain those small time opportunities that soon add up!

Once you have entered all of your information. Save your goal and you will now see your goal under each stroke tab. As you enter you meets and races, we will automatically check your goals and let you know if you have had a great success!
